Frequently asked questions
How is Fold different from Google News or Inshorts?
Fold doesn't just aggregate links. Every story is sourced from multiple outlets, cross-checked for accuracy, and distilled into one clear summary. No ads, no algorithmic rage-bait, no infinite scroll.
What does the free plan include?
Free users get daily General Highlights — a curated snapshot of the most important stories across all categories, delivered at your chosen time every day. You can also pick up to 3 sub-topics for free.
How does pricing work?
Fold pricing is based on the number of sub-topics you follow, not the number of interest categories. Pick sub-topics from any interest — Technology, Sports, Business, anything — and only pay for how many you choose. Plans start at ₹29/month for 3 sub-topics.
How does fact-checking work?
Every story is sourced from multiple reputable outlets. Claims are compared across sources to spot inconsistencies, and original references are provided so you can verify anything yourself.
Can I use Fold on my phone?
Yes. Fold is a Progressive Web App — visit the site on your phone and tap "Add to Home Screen." It works and feels like a native app, with push notifications and offline reading.
When does my magazine arrive?
The latest news is delivered at the time you set. You can configure your preferred delivery time in settings and receive a push notification when your edition is ready.
Can I add my own interests?
Yes. You can request custom sub-topics within any category. Fold's editorial team reviews the request, and once approved, it's added to your magazine going forward.
Who writes the summaries?
Fold's editorial engine processes stories from dozens of trusted publications, cross-references facts, and crafts concise summaries designed to respect your time.
Is my data shared or sold?
Never. Fold doesn't run ads, doesn't profile you for third parties, and doesn't sell your data. Your reading habits stay private.
