How Every Fold Edition Is Fact-Checked
Trust is earned, not claimed. That's why we want to be completely transparent about how Fold verifies every story in your daily magazine.
For each topic, Fold pulls articles from multiple independent publications. These are cross-referenced — if a claim appears in only one source and contradicts others, it's flagged. Stories with conflicting reports are clearly marked in your magazine so you know where consensus exists and where it doesn't.
Every summary includes links to the original sources. You can always verify what you're reading by going straight to the publication that reported it first. We don't hide behind paraphrasing — we show our work.
When a reader reports an issue — a misinterpretation, a factual error, or an outdated claim — we take it seriously. The article is re-verified against the original publications, and if a correction is warranted, it's applied. These corrections also inform how future editions are produced, helping us get better over time.
We credit every publication. We link to every original article. And if we get something wrong, we own it and fix it. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, and we invite you to hold us to it too.
